Description
Tahoe 8216 GSM is a remote power management system with 10 independent outlets and a built-in GSM module. Each outlet is switched on and off via the web, telnet, an encrypted SSH connection, from the local keypad and display or via SMS. The maximum total output current is 16 A.
Control via GSM
The GSM module also works when the network is unavailable because a key element of it has hung. Sending an SMS with a command switches the selected outlet on or off without Internet access. Connected devices can also be restarted automatically when they stop responding to control packets.
Measurements
The device measures input voltage, current and active power, also in the connected expansion modules.
Expansion
Up to 32 Tahoe 8116 expansion modules, with 10 outlets each, can be connected to a single Tahoe 8216 GSM and controlled from the main unit.
Users
Each outlet can be assigned to a separate user, for example when the equipment in one rack belongs to different departments or customers.
Version without a GSM module: Tahoe 8216. Versions with four outlets: Tahoe 8210 and Tahoe 8210 GSM.
Several hardware and software watchdogs monitor the device, from basic processor functions to network communication. The metal enclosure is designed for years of continuous operation.
