Description

Tahoe 289 connects two LANs over an E3 or T3 link. It replaces a router with E3/T3 ports where management and traffic filtering are not needed, and requires no configuration.

How it works

The converter works as a transparent bridge: both LANs form a single whole at the hardware level. It forwards ordinary frames and VLAN frames at up to 150,000 packets per second. Unlike ATM-based solutions, it adds no headers of its own, so the link bandwidth is used entirely for data.
